The Truth about Gitmo

Yes, it is true. There are victims at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. There ARE people who are threatened daily that their families will be killed. There are instances of assault and battery. There are plenty of examples where people are urinated on, human feces thrown at them, not to mention other bodily fluids, which can only be described as disgusting. The quirk in this story, however, is that it isn’t the detained terrorists who suffer the brunt of these daily attacks; it is the military personnel who are assigned as their guards. The full story, from a first hand account, can be found here. Please go read this account, and then come back . . .

Now, what have you heard about this from the likes of Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, or Nancy Pelosi?

What?

Did you say “nothing?”

Ever wonder why?

Is their silence on the real abuse at Gitmo an admission that they really don’t care about our troops? Like Bill Clinton and the real Hillary, liberals in Congress do not support the troops. They do pay lip service and take every opportunity to shake the hand of a veteran for that all powerful "Photo-Op," but where the rubber meets the road, these people are invisible, and they are silent.

At least, that's
my conclusion.

Of course, during a recent trip to Gitmo by both House members and senators, the sound bite at the exit gate went something like this, “We are pleased that the earlier circumstances no longer exist.”

What earlier circumstances were they referring to? Did they mean to infer that they actually believed that cock'n bull story about flushing the Koran down a toilet? The same toilet that won't even take Q-tips?

Now, I hope that the reader can recognize BS when they see it and hear it as well as I can. These people do not give two hoots for a holler about the plight of our military personnel who are serving in harms way. If they did, they wouldn’t be so compassionate of these scum sucking bottom feeders we call terrorists. If they really cared about America’s safety, they would be supporting our nation’s war effort, rather than clamoring around pandering votes like the sycophants they are, looking for every opportunity to demean our nation's effort to make the world, and our own citizens safer.

Our men and women in uniform have been standing up for us; isn’t it time that we began taking a stand for them? Now that you know the truth about abuses at Gitmo, you can defend our defenders against the liberal (Democratic Party) assault on the honor and integrity of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. I hope you will do that.
